UMCOR and MMDC Kit Collection

We will be collecting hygiene kits for UMCOR and supplies for MMDC.All donations must be brought to church by Sunday, May 26th (see below for details). 

If your family wishes to donate UMCOR Hygiene Kits, below are supplies needed and a link to the website for specific instructions on how to assemble each one that you donate.

Section Title

 Hygiene Kit Materials (Pastor Laura will transport these)

  • One hand towel (15 x 25 –17 x 27 inches) No kitchen, cleaning, or microfiber towels

  • One washcloth. No kitchen, cleaning, or microfiber towels.

  • One comb. Must be sturdy with at least 4-7 inches of teeth. No pocket combs or picks. Rattails and combs without handles are acceptable but must have at least 4-7 inches of teeth.

  • One toenail or fingernail clipper. No emery boards or metal nail files.

  • Bath-size soap (3 oz. bar or larger). No Ivory or Jergen’s soap.Do not remove from packaging.

  • One adult toothbrush. Do not remove it from packaging. Personal advertising is not acceptable.

  • 10 adhesive bandages (¾ by 3 inches). Common household bandages acceptable.

  • One one-gallon size resealable bag

*Do not add toothpaste when assembling kits

BRING ASSEMBLED KITS TO CHURCH BY MAY 26TH.

MMDC Supplies needed (Pastor Laura will transport these)
Lotion: 8-10 oz (no pumps)
Diaper cream: 2 oz (Not A+D Brand)
 

MMDC also accepts folding walkers, crutches, canes,sewing machines (electric in good condition or treadle) and gently used/new non-electric tools (i.e. rakes, brooms, and shovels).
 

Bring assembled kits to church through May 26th and Pastor Laura will take them with her to the Annual Conference.  
 

If you want to drop off donations, on May 29 and 30, there will be a truck at the Annual Conference at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bloomington ready to be filled with donations. It is helpful if supplies and kits are boxed up with the donating church’s name and address marked, as well as whether the box should go to MMDC or UMCOR.
Please drive directly to the truck. Do not unload your vehicle and carry supplies through the hotel.
